When Land Stewardship Centre dissolved in early 2026, Sagewood acquired the Green Acreages program assets to help ensure that this important initiative does not get lost or forgotten and with the intention of finding the program and all its info/education resources their forever home.

Since 2012, the Green Acreages resources, developed especially for acreage, hobby farm and recreational property owners, have been helping people learn more about and implement stewardship practices that conserve and protect the valuable natural assets, such as air, land, water, wildlife, associated with their properties.
The Workbook
This comprehensive Workbook takes stewardship to the next level. Each chapter begins with an overview of an issue and background information, includes relevant legislation, offers examples of beneficial management practices and provides sources of additional information. At the end of each module, handy worksheets help you document and evaluate how you manage your property. The Primer
This introductory booklet provides people with the basics of owning and managing a rural property on topics such as water and waste management, living with wildlife, weed and pest control and much more. Green Acreages Guide Primers are free to rural municipalities and organizations to support their conservation and stewardship outreach efforts. We just ask that you pay the cost of shipping.
